Dear fashionable bees,
Did you ever experienced a wake up call ? I love those moments. You're enjoying a peaceful (quite boring) life. Day after day living your routine. However one morning you wake up with a new question in mind that will change you and the way you think. You don't know where it came from but it's there and now, whether you like it or not, you'll have to deal with it.
The day I wondered who made my clothes ?
It seems like a pointless question but take a moment to think about it . We dress everyday, We love to buy new clothes and get rid of the old ones . We are surrounded by stores, we love fashion, and each pieces are the expression of our personality, they make us feel beautiful, empowered. We are what we wear!
What if being a fashionista and buying clothes would make the world a better place ? Wouldn't it be amazing ?
Millions of people, including childrens, have been working in terrible conditions for us to wear this clothe, does it sound fair ?
24/04/2014 a sad anniversary!
« On April 24th last year, 1133 people were killed when the Rana Plaza factory complex collapsed in Dhaka, Bangladesh. Many more were injured. Today, people are still suffering as a direct result of our fashion supply chain. »
At FFB we are following the fashion revolution by supporting designers who wanna make a positive change. Yes we can be fashionnable and respect the people and the planet we live in.
