Dear Fashion Flair Bazaar Lovers,
We are happy to welcome Water Puppet. The young, fresh eco-friendly and ethical brand is made in Madrid with a french touch! To find out more we’ve asked Liza Sansou, the designer to answer our “some like it green questionnaire”.
We hope you’ll enjoy!
What does it mean for you to “be green”?
It’s a lifestyle, the way you think and how you apply all those little things to your day to day.
What is your green attitude?
There are 3 things that come to my mind: Walk or use public transportation if needed. Take showers instead of bath, (don’t waste water), turn the heater at very low temperature, I don’t use air conditioning and turn off the lights. I also buy local and I always take a bag with me to avoid coming back with plastic bags and I love to buy things that have no packaging.
Who is your green muse?
I don’t have one. I admire women I know from my surroundings, rather than celebrities. My mother would be my muse,
she allowed me to discover myself letting me learn through my mistakes and my style comes from her education. She was “green” before it became fashionable.
What is the super power you would like to have to save the planet?
The power of Teaching, I think we lack basic education in our society. That being said, I don’t think I have the ultimate solution to that, but I think education should be an ongoing journey.
Can you share with us one of your green addictions?
I get in the shower as soon as the water comes down, when the water is still cold and feel how it becomes warmer. It’s good for the skin, puts you in a good mood and this way you don’t waste water.
What is your “uniform” for this season?
My uniforms are very simple, denim, t-shirt and sweater. For winter, there is nothing better than fair-trade alpaca wool.
What is the best way to share the green attitude?
Explain it to the people around me without being condescending. Understand that we are different and that there are other opinions.
What is the ultimate advice to help save the planet?
We don’t save the planet for us but for future generations. Like Indians say “ Earth is not a gift from our parents it’s a loan from our children”. Indians Americans are very wise and I would like to end this interview with this quote from Chief Seattle, chief of the Suquamish Indians:
